I created a searchable online location database and associated software for the Colorado Film Commission. This project is unlike any currently available (still applies, now in Winter 2007!). Based on my original concept, the Location Database allows searching on multiple keywords, creation and maintenance of personal “location folders”, and the ability for a user to annotate locations and photos for their project and share that with their production team.
In addition, I was instrumental in devising the navigation for Coloradofilm.org, guiding the Commission staff through the difficult task of arranging the content to make it simple and logical for end users.
Note: the Colorado Film Commission site has been redeveloped since my involvement (as of Spring 2007). The Location Database is still active, and I have been asked to re-implement the content management system for the new site.
